BEST Super Bowl Room Deals
If you’re going to Arizona for Super Bowl 2008 get ready to pay a hefty price for the few hotel rooms that are left. WOW, I couldn’t believe it when I was just down there for NASCAR and started looking around for a place. Some in the area are going for as much as $5,000 a night for a modest hotel! Yikes! I’ve been doing some research and found in this area there are so many year-round vacation rentals that going that route might be a better option. The key is finding one that isn’t charging 15K for the week! Here’s a great find.

NASCAR in Phoenix FINAL day!
I’ve been so busy at NASCAR I haven’t had a chance to get on my computer so check out my daughter’s blog that gives all kinds of insider information about what’s happening at the Phoenix International Raceway. So far this event has been fantastic!

There are all kinds of TRAVEL THERAPY but for my father his favorite is to travel to Phoenix for the yearly NASCAR event. This is the third year we’ve gone together and what he loves most is being able to hang out in the pit area before the race and see all the drivers, like Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and one of his favorites, Kasey Kahne, in their element. This year we found nthe same excitement at Phoenix International Raceway as the track geared up for NASCAR.
At Phoenix NASCAR, sold out crowds and dedicated fans filled the stands all weekend especially with such a tight race for the Chase ( NASCARS gold metal event) the anticipation was at an all time high going into Sunday’s final event. So far Kyle Busch has dominated winning both the Truck and Busch races, we’ll see what he can do this aftenoon. If you get hooked here at thePhoenix NASCAR races, Phoenix even has a top-rated RACING SCHOOL you can sign up for and see how well you’ll do behind the wheel!

Headed to NASCAR
I’m going to NASCAR again…
She did it! My daughter scored us tickets to NASCAR coming up in Phoenix. Actually these are much better than just your normal tickets we have a four day MEDIA PASS that allows us this amazing access to the race and the drivers! We can go on pit row, talk to the drivers and even go out on the track right before the race starts. I have some great shots with the drivers that my daughter took in 2006.
She’s a journalist and she’ll write about the race while I’m her “co-writer” and will help her with all background stuff. Our tradition of going to NASCAR started in 2005 when she got us passes for my birthday. It was suppose to just be a “one time thing” she told me but of course it was so great I hit up again the following year and she was able to swing it again.
She travels a lot so it’s hard for her to go but she surprised me and came through again this year and I can’t wait to get on a plane and head to Phoenix!
I’ll be able to post on this blog some great exclusive photos and insider info from the race that weekend so stay tuned!
